I'm a firm believer in demonic possession, despite also being quite knowledgeable about multiple personality disorder - which ironically often results from being a victim of satanic ritual abuse. But there are credible witness stories from those victims which talk about how the perpetrators' entire visual features change during the ritual and it's clear they really have become a vehicle for the demons they are summoning, such that they are not really there any more, but the demons are. Unless, of course, the demons are a different personality in a multiple personality system. Although that can be one explanation, it doesn't explain all instances of demonic possession (bit like the few percent of UFOs which defy explanation). Plus of course, the explanation can be both. I think sometimes part of the intention in satanic rituals is precisely to cause a demonic possession. And that demon can occupy one of the other personalities in the multiple.
This is an interesting take on the subject. I think you maybe onto something. I always think demonic infiltration is similar in ways to a hacking attack that so many corporations fall victim to.
The demon identifies a way in, usually through an often unintentional invitation, like using the ouija board. It doesn’t act right away, it can lay dormant for years and attack when you are weakest. Vulnerable because of substance abuse, mental illness, abuse at the hand of another etc etc
This is why you hear a lot of accounts where the victim does not recall doing anything to attract this kind of negative attention. Then there is a realisation of a seemingly innocent “game” of ouija board as a kid.
And yes, when people are vulnerable it opens them up. I had a few scary experiences when I was younger involving bad trips and the like (so I stopped outright), so I know just what you mean here. And in SRA of course I think part of the intention is to create a 'vulnerable opening' (by abuse etc.).
I think this kind of thinking may also apply to a lot of paranormal phenomena - that's to say we can think of 'openings' as 'points of vulnerability'. I wonder if people have considered places like the Bermuda triangle in such a way. Haunted buildings likewise. We know about ley lines, for example. I'm thinking there might be electromagnetic aspects to this, like gaps in the planetary grid, so to speak. Given that the human brain has a lot of electromagnetic activity to it, perhaps there's part of the explanation.
It's an interesting time to be alive too, given how we have the scientific and technological ability to at least approach a proper understanding of all these things.
