Great write-up! This is one of those close encounters that's hard to dismiss outright. So many so-called encounters happen to individuals or small groups, people who could easily have made the whole thing up (and usually have done). But 60 under-twelves? getting all of them to keep their stories' straight seems bloody difficult.

Since it's still very hard to believe that an alien saceship visited a group of children to tell them to stop global warming, the only thing that makes sense is some kind of mass hysteria. But even that doesn't really feel satisfying now, does it? I'm curious to know what other peope think!

Yes, exactly that. I’ve watched 3 documentaries on this case while researching, including one where they contacted the school children years later as adults and their stories are still consistent all these years later. There are similar accounts to this in Australia and wales too. We have to take these seriously.

I know the Wales one, it happened in Pentyrch about a mile from my village. The general consensus is that it was an army training exercise that went wrong and got covered up. There's an army base nearby so it's a pretty sensible explanation as it goes!
