UFOLOGY Glossary Series - J
A series to help people new to the topic understand the terms, concepts, and language used in the study of UFOs and alien phenomena.
The world of ufology is vast, mysterious, and often overwhelming for newcomers and seasoned researchers alike. With decades of reports, theories, terminology, and classifications, understanding the language of UFO research is essential for making sense of the phenomena.
This Ufology Glossary is designed to be a living, evolving reference guide for anyone interested in the study of unidentified flying objects, alien encounters, and the deeper mysteries of our universe. Whether you're exploring government disclosures, diving into abduction accounts, or just trying to decipher terms like “CE-5” or “anti-gravity propulsion,” this glossary is your companion through the strange and fascinating world of UFO phenomena.
Each entry is organized alphabetically and includes clear, concise definitions to help demystify the language used by researchers, experiencers, and theorists across the field.
We begin with the letter A, and from there, the glossary will continue to grow—entry by entry, mystery by mystery.
Jump Room (Teleportation Theory)
A term from whistleblower testimony (notably Andrew D. Basiago and others) referring to alleged teleportation technology used in secret space programs. Jump Rooms supposedly allowed instantaneous travel between locations—including underground alien facilities and even Mars.
J-Rod (Alleged Alien Entity)
An extraterrestrial being allegedly encountered at S-4 near Area 51. Described as a Grey, J-Rod was reportedly a future version of humanity from a divergent timeline. He was said to have worked with human scientists on genetic and technological research.
Jet Intercept Protocol (UFO Encounters)
Military procedures for scrambling jets in response to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). Numerous documented incidents, such as the Gorman Dogfight and Tehran UFO incident, involve failed attempts to engage or track UFOs using standard aircraft.

Joint Human-Alien Operations
Conspiracy theory alleging that governments (especially the U.S.) are working with extraterrestrials in underground facilities like Dulce Base. These supposed joint ventures involve biological experiments, technology exchange, or hybridization programs.
Judgmental Entities (Abduction Lore)
Beings that appear to assess or evaluate human morality, behavior, or emotions during encounters. Some abductees describe “life review” experiences or telepathic interactions framed around ethical guidance or spiritual reckoning.
Jettisoned Craft (Crash Retrieval Context)
Craft believed to be abandoned or discarded by alien occupants before military retrieval. Theories suggest some may be planted intentionally or result from internal malfunction or conflict.

Jet Stream Anomalies (UFO Tracking)
Unusual readings or deviations in jet stream behavior recorded during high-altitude UFO sightings. May indicate that objects are manipulating or unaffected by atmospheric conditions.
Junction Points (Earth Grid Theory)
Locations where ley lines, geomagnetic lines, or other energetic pathways intersect. Believed by some researchers to be hotspots for UFO activity due to naturally amplified electromagnetic properties.
Jump Sequence (Theoretical UFO Navigation)
A hypothetical process by which a UFO prepares for interdimensional or faster-than-light travel. Witnesses sometimes report UFOs “pulsing,” “vibrating,” or emitting a burst of light immediately before vanishing.

Jamming (UFO Encounter Context)
The disruption of radar, weapons systems, or communications during UFO encounters. Reported in military cases where pilots lose targeting lock or radio contact while tracking anomalous craft.
